How The Best Leaders Lead by Brian Tracy

Here are few  notes which I have taken while reading this great book .

I seperated each note with a # for better understanding .

# *Self-Esteem* has best been defined as how much you like yourself. The more you like and respect yourself , the better you perform in every area . The more you like yourself, the more you like others and better you go along with them .
From Book How best leaders lead - By Brian Tracy .

#In fact the best leaders are those who have confidence to surround themselves with the best people in the business.
It's the insecure leader who hires people who will just smile and nod at everything the leader says .
😊

*#Intensely Desired Goals*

When there is something that you want very much, that you are determined to achieve, you will *enjoy* a continuous stream of insights and ideas that will help you to move toward the achievement of that goal.

#Everything counts ! Everything helps or hurts . Everything you do or say adds up or takes away from your credibility. Nothing is overlooked or ignored.

#The four key behaviours that you can practice every day to feel people important as ,
1. Appreciation
2.Approval
3. Admiration
4. Attention

#A boss with " Attitude of gratitude" is one of the most effective leaders in any organisation.

#Every time you admire something about another person , you raise that person's self esteem and make them feel happier and more committed to you and the company .

#People get tremendous satisfaction from having an opportunity to express themselves honestly to their bosses and to other important people in their lives .

#As a leader , you must ensure that lead generation is a central focus of all your marketing and sales activities. Understanding what works and what doesn't will also help you lead the efforts to improve your company's marketing methods in order to generate more leads and attract more potential customers.

#Simplifying your life will not only make you a happier person , it will significantly increase your success as a leader .

#Throughout the ages , the example that you establish in your character, attitude, personality and work habits and especially the way you treat others ,sets the tone for your department or organisation .

#The last great freedom is the freedom to choose your own mental attitude under any set of conditions .

#They explain that the greater _clarity_ you have with regard to the future you wish to create , the easier it is for you to make the day to day decisions necessary to reach that future .
Gary Hamel & V K Pralhad .

#The fact is that the future belongs to risk takers , not the security -seekers .

# *Face the Reality*
The primary reason that people get into zero-based thinking situations because of ego . They cannot admit that they made a mistake . They are afraid to tell others . They are afraid to tell others that they have changed their mind . They don't want to face up the fact they were wrong on their original situation.

#Action without planning is a cause of failure.

# *Six P formula*

Proper Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance.

#The primary focus of successful leadership must be _customer_ _satisfaction_ . The key measure of customer satisfaction is repeat business .

#The time management principle mentioned earlier says that every minute spent in planning saves 10 minutes of execution.
